ABOUT THE MONEY CLIP 004
6T leather worksのマネークリップに取り付けられる、Dリング。
ウォレットチェーンやキーリングを付けるための小さな金具ですが、付け位置やタイプによって、ポケットに入れたときの見え方や使い勝手は大きく変わります。
今回は、Dリングの素材や取り付け部の仕様、そしてタイプと付け位置の組み合わせを、実際の装着写真とともにご紹介します。
The D-ring is an optional fitting attached to the 6T leather works Money Clip.
It is a small piece of hardware for attaching a wallet chain or keyring, but the position and type you choose will change both the look and the feel of the wallet in your pocket.
In this article, we'll introduce the material, the strap construction, and every combination of type and mounting side, shown in actual pocket photos.
■ 素材と取り付け部 / Material & Strap
Dリングの素材は真鍮です。
カラーはシルバーとゴールドの2色をご用意していますが、どちらも素材は同じ真鍮で、仕上げの違いになります。
金具のカラーに合わせて、本体の金具と統一してお選びいただく方が多いです。
そして、Dリングを取り付ける革のパーツは、伸びにくいように処理をしてあります。
ウォレットチェーンを付けると常に引っ張られる力がかかる部分ですので、長く安心してお使いいただけるよう、見えない部分にもひと手間をかけています。
The D-ring is made of solid brass.
It comes in two colors, silver and gold, but both are the same brass material with different finishes.
Many customers match the D-ring finish to the hardware of the wallet itself.
The leather strap that holds the D-ring is treated to resist stretching.
A wallet chain constantly pulls on this part, so we take extra care with the details you can't see, so it can be used with confidence for years.
■ TYPE A の場合 / Type A
タイプAは、開いた状態で左側にコインケース、右側に札留めがある、6T leather worksの基本仕様です。
上の段が右ポケット、下の段が左ポケットに入れた状態で、左列が左付け、右列が右付けです。
一番人気は、右ポケット＋左付けの組み合わせ。
ほとんどの方がマネークリップをポケットにこの向きで入れています。
同じ右ポケットでも、財布を入れる向きが変われば、取り付け位置も変わります。
Type A is our standard layout: when opened, the coin pocket is on the left and the money clip is on the right.
In the photo, the top row shows a right pocket and the bottom row a left pocket; the left column is the left-side mounting and the right column is the right-side mounting.
The most popular combination is the right pocket with the left-side mounting.
This is how most owners carry the money clip in the pocket.
Even in the same right pocket, the mounting side changes depending on the orientation of the wallet.
■ TYPE B の場合 / Type B
タイプBは、コインケースと札留めの配置がタイプAと左右逆で、左利きの方に選ばれることが多いタイプです。
並び方はタイプAと同じで、上の段が右ポケット、下の段が左ポケット、左列が左付け、右列が右付けです。
タイプと付け位置は、利き手だけで決まるものではありません。
ふだん財布を入れるポケットと、取り出すときの動きをイメージしながらお選びください。
Type B reverses the coin pocket and money clip positions of Type A, and is often chosen by left-handed users.
The photo layout follows Type A: top row right pocket, bottom row left pocket, left column left-side mounting, right column right-side mounting.
The type and side don't have to be decided by your dominant hand alone.
Picture the pocket you usually use and the motion of taking the wallet out, and choose the combination that feels right.
